2008 September 1 poem: NO MNEMON

NO MNEMON

I'm trying to think of a way to make plain
when to apostrophize it's and when it's
wrong to: i.e. when its apostrophe doesn't
belong there. I can't think of a way: you
just have to know. That's what comes of
trying to reify everything. Let's just say
"his" or "hers" instead, unless of course it's
theirs.
